Eno is having a sideline doing backup vocals under an alias, I read in an old issue of Q Magazine. Yikes! I`d normally say, "go for it", Ignacio, but bed and breakfast in a one * hotel can easily mean a stale Ding Dong in a flea-bag crack house. I`d investigate a bit further before pulling out the credit card. Hello, Although I'm not by any means a regular poster to this list, I've been lurking (and occasionally showing my face) for a few years now. I should therefore extend my warmest thanks to whoever it was that posted the link to the BBC Birmingham Online competition this past Thursday. I tripped on over to the site, answered the questions, and lo and behold if I don't get a phone call the following morning telling me I've won a pair of tickets to the NEC concert tomorrow night! I don't remember who it was that posted this link, but if you are reading, God bless you. I shall report back on Monday, presuming I can find something to say about the concert that hasn't been said in the many great reviews that have been posted here lately. Judging by what's been said, I have a feeling I'm in for a treat... - -- Mark ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Jun 2001 19:11:36 -0400 From: "Strimples" Subject: [AVALON] Any 2001 Live Recordings Yet? The show seems to get tighter as the tour goes on,at Notts. I noticed several mistakes but tonight was flawless. Interestingly Ferry only did one accapella "I wouldn't trade you etc." at the end of Mother Of Pearl I think he's getting p***** of with everyone applauding before the song has finished. Security was very relaxed tonight with the stewards actually INVITING people to stand down the front BEFORE the gig started! Nice to see a lot of you again, especially Ole from Norway for the first time, & Chris Cassidy whose 9 year old son got Zev's plectrum! lucky so & so See you all next weekend, or maybe before!
