The keyboards were more prominent in the TV mix, whilst the guitars were far more audible live, which I hope is the situation on tour. Seeing the Over You clip again (which I had forgotten), with Bryan strumming a guitar (which I think he also did on a now lost TOTP performance of Pyjamarama) brought back memories. I really enjoyed Over You as a single and now remember seeing this performance, TGPT looking grumpily disinterested behind his kit. But then, that album... F+B appalled me on release and found its' way quickly into the second hand rack of the record shop. No Paul Thompson?! Cover versions (and terrible ones at that) on a Roxy Music album?! How could they do this to me? Oh the firminesque horror of it all... But Avalon, mainly through More Than This heard repeatedly on an old Polish AM valve radio I had at the time, won me over again. I can even listen to a few of the F+B songs now, in isolation. But I still won't have copy in the house. I had no idea there were plans to release that concert. I was in London in October of '90 for some Grateful Dead shows at Wembley and as I went down into an Underground station I saw a huge poster for it on the wall. I nearly fell down. I thought it was a poster for a new studio release for a second. I immediately went to the Virgin Megastore and bought the CD. What a treat for a Roxy fan who thought the days of Roxy releases were long over.
