I know some of you were doing double duty as the majority had actually been to the live recording. So thanks once again. As you know we here in the states... "so near and yet so far.castaways as strangers are.." ..well, we would have our growth stunted if we were ever to see a Roxy Music Special on TV over here. I myself remember being bowled over some time in the early to mid 80's when American TV actually carried an Ian Hunter special entitled "Ian Hunter Rocks". And God Bless Ian, as he dutifully proved they had picked that title correctly. I look forward to Camden & New York! Hope to see you there. But what a pleasure to hear again Andy's saxophone on Jealous Guy and the other songs. One of Bry's errors (if I can call it like that) has been in the eighties not to have a real sax when he was touring. The sax sounds give an atmosphere , a depth in his music that this instrument is absolutely necessary. Not only will I have the pleasure to see Roxy together but I will also have the pleasure to hear again Andy on their songs! Also manzo's guitar is great to hear. What if Roxy had never split? Not all BF cd's have been better than what he did with Roxy... Also, what is the list's opinion on the "impossible guitar "on one of Roxy's live album (you know, the blue one with a lady wearing short hair. I always felt this was so U2-ish at that time that I confused a lot of my friens that were U2 fans. IMHO, this song is of a great composition and is too often forgotten... I said, funny, it's the same title of a Bryan's song, and actually, listening to it, I was surpised to found out that it *was* its cover. A very different version. But curious in a way. I wouldn't have thought IPASOY as a possible song to be covered by a commercial singer. It's a compicate song, not immediate to be loved, IMO.
