Honestly, when I was 12, I asked my father about that woman on the FYP sleeve (not Amanda Lear!). He answered that there was never a woman in Roxy music. So I took the album cover and pointed at - Brian Eno! (Shows my limited knowledge of anatomy at that age, by the way.) Ferry may have a very traditional (best-possible euphemism) view of "the woman's role", but they weren't afraid to deconstruct the "swelling balls" imagery of the rocker type of musician. Incidentally, I would have liked Eno to rejoin, but those who think it cannot be "real Roxy" without him would have to consider the albums from Stranded to Avalon a "fake", Roger-Waters-slamming-Waterless-Floyd-like? Hello........Good Evening to All From what I understand: Colin was the "conversationally spoken" piano confirmation at the very, very beginning of the line up drama. I am not sure, nor are others at the moment, to whether Colin will also be doing synthesized keyboards as well as piano. But.......if I had a gun to my head at the moment, I would say just piano. Quite personally I think this is fabulous. Colin was the musical director and did the musical arrangements for the ATGB tour and it was a gem. "I know, I know." At first, most of us didn't think it would work at all. Hells Bells! Here in the states, where the tour opened, the original promotional verdict handed down was that "Bryan" would be "Performing Song's From The Thirties & Forties " only. ONLY! Sudden icy fear swept over the land. Then, you saw the show(s). You saw how Colin and Bryan molded and caressed those preciously "Roxy Music" jewels around the ATGB band. "Sunset", "Chance Meeting", "Bittersweet", "Out of the Blue", CASANOVA, that along with "The Only face". These new and different arrangements proved once again how the "Roxy Music" sound could hold back time with such great aplomb.
