Yes, I've got both his albums too! I bought the first one without even knowing that former Jellyfish and Grays man Jason Falkner was heavily involved, and his (Falkner) solo albums are great. He did a covers album a few years ago which has only just been officially released. On it he covers Eno's Burning Airlines and Magazine's A Song From Under The Floorboards. All recorded on 4 track too.
Back to Eric though, he used to be in Cardinal who I've never heard much by. His solo albums are very melodic/melancholic affairs, beautifully arranged and executed, with lots of strings and trumpets.
Lovely stuff!

Ho Johhny,
How are you?
Of course I'm interested in both the video's.
I've seen some fragments at The Mad Affair, and I was deeply impressed.
So I'm happy that you (and the other people who worked on it) have finished
the videos.
If possible i like to pay bij Creditcard (Mastercard)
I you agree, I send you two e-mails. One with my cardnr, and one with my
exp. date.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Awwww geez, sorry everyone ... obviously it's not necessary to clutter
up Avalon with personal posts regarding the ordering of Screen
Dreams! I hate when I do that!

Hello everyone,
I will be going to a Roxy Music concert in Boston, MA and I was wondering if
anybody on this list knows the best way to go about trying to get passes for
back stage or at least meeting the group somehow. I have been a fan for 25
years and meeting the band would be a lifelong dream.
Thank you for any and all replies.
Rick

I heard from a very reliable source that Donny Osmond is going to be one of
the back-up singers on the Roxy tour.

I am seeing the concert in Concord CA and have been actually thinking the
same thing. How does one go about this kind of thing? I have never tried
before.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but has anyone seen the 1980 Coming
Up video by Paul McCartney? Paul dresses up as Andy Mackay in a band that
Paul cleverly dubbed "The Plastic Macs".
Paul imitated the looks of, Andy, Buddy Holly, Frank Zappa, Ron Mael of
Sparks, Ginger Baker (looking more like "Animal" of The Muppets !) and even
a 1964 Beatle version of himself ! Linda also appeared in two guises making
"The Plastic Macs" a 12-piece band.
I haven't seen it in years.

Andy played with Macca on his albums during the 80s. I haven't seen that video for many a year either!

Yes that was a very interesting video back in the early days when videos
were .."good." You have a good recollections of the persons Paul was
imitating. I don't remember who Linda looked like. Any body else know?
BTW, when do all these videos go? Lost in time forever I suppose.
Another video that also does this sort of thing is Beck in the "She's the
New Pollution" - very fun to watch 'cause not only does he look like the
persons, he and the group dances to the motif of the time and group they are
honoring.
I haven't seen it in years also.

Subject: Re: [AVALON] Best way to get to meet Bryan
I was the same way till I saw Brayn in LA. I got my nerve up when the people
who I was sitting next to at the concert had met him in person the night
before and were saying how pleasent the experience was. I waited until the
show ended with a bunch of people outside where his tour bus was. It took a
while and he did come out and he did sign autographs but only after he got on
the bus. One lucky girl got to take a picture of him. The one thing was that
he was accompanied by this one woman who I guess was some kind of manager who
pretty rudely asked that we only have one thing to sign. I noticed this one
guy who had about 5 things to sign (I talked to him beforehand and he was
this complete autograph hound (it was like who didn't he meet and by the way
Sanuel Jackson is the rudest and Johnny Depp is one of the nicest people) and
I noticed he got everything signed. Bryan even called him by name so
obviously he is well known. Anyway I waited myself about 20 years for this
moment and I sent my poster to be signed as well and got that too. Also I
noticed such a personality change from how furtive Bryan was till he got on
the bus and instantly he seemed so relaxed and joking when he got on the bus
and was seated up front. It was well worth the wait and I'd do it all over
again.
