"Chastain Park Amphitheater" in Atlanta, Georgia on July 26, 2001. I have learned this was to be the original unannounced date for the Cleveland show. Also: Tickets for Chicago go on sale Saturday and Minneapolis this Friday It would seem, from what has been ascertained, the "original" "Fifty Stops" that was first spoken of when the tour was announced have been finalized. For the moment, the locations of these venues and their dates are being wrapped up and a large amount of information should be announced shortly to give folks a bite of a "Where or When" as the rest of the tour "fleshes out." This announcement will help finalize the last few North American venues date questions and also begin finally naming the Europe date and rest of the: "The 2001 Roxy Music World Wide Tour" dates." which I am sure you have noticed I do not mind typing at all. More to follow. I tried to see if he's legit? Can't find anything. Does anyone else know about Spencer? Original message: David, I joined the group it seems just after David O'List if I remember correctly around 1971-72. I had gotten into the group by Brian Eno who lived at 49 Leith Mansions Grantully Rd. W9 phone 286-2663 I've had this address in an old address book I kept. His flat was around the corner from the restaurant Jilly's in Kilburn Square that I ran. Eno use to come in often for food, and had seen and heard me practicing my guitar behind the counter. We became friends and he asked me over to Brian Ferry's flat to become Roxy's guitarist. He use to process my guitar with his Putney VC3 synth. we rehearsed a lot but the group didn't seem to be going anywhere. I was sure wrong! I believe I met Paul Thompson briefly in Hamburg where I was playing in the group Lake. Roxy came to town and I was able to track Brian Ferry down he gave me a backstage pass so I hung out the whole day with them. It must have been around 1973-4 I talked mostly to Brian Ferry, Andy Mackay, and being a guitarist Phil Manzanera. I'm terrible with names but I feel pretty good about Paul being with them but I'm sure he won't remember me. I'm including a poor scan of a set of songs we were practicing and a note Brian Eno wrote me just before I left for a year to go to Israel. I hope this sets things straight.
