Agreed. This snobbery (or meanness as you put it) has become patronising and it's very disrespectful. As someone pointed out recently the management only contacts the public/ list/ most loyal fans when they want to sell product. It doesn't bode well for the reunion at all. The whole Roxy/ Ferry aura has lost something from the days when they/ he did their darndest to entertain every single person. It was fun then, it appears to a business now and the worst consequence is that the detail on a Ferry product appears to be getting lost while they are milking this cash cow. A Great place for a concert...Chicago Theatre wouldn't be bad either. BTW: not many people have commented on the posting that Colin Good and Zev Katz and the Violinist we all adore will be in the band this year. If this is not just a rumour, it could be an awfully good sign. I remember a post from last year which quoted Colin Good talking about trying to "master" the early Roxy Piano based sound. I think one of the things that annoyed me about the last touring version of Roxy was the reliance on synth strings. With Colin on board we can count on LOTS of acoustic piano. And clever arrangements. One of the thrills of the last tour for me (other than meeting Jas for the first time!) was hearing the gorgeous, sprawling arrangement of "Sunset". That, I believe, was Mr Good's work. Zev Katz appears on several albums I own, and has extremely varied studio credits. He would NOT sound like Mr Wetton or Mr Gustafson or Mr Tibbs, but I think he would point the rythm section in a new direction. And don't get me started on Lucy..... If this line up is true and not just a rumour, I think it boads well! Jas, we can both wear white dinner jackets, as long as the ladies wear black....
