Seeing as you're curious I prefer the more soulful, reflective nature of the solo effort, although only by a whisker. (The eponymous first album is full of heroic, cacophonous marvels but Sinfield's production is thin and lazy. He couldn't have known what he was starting ..) 2HB confirms, for me, the theory that Bry was uncomfortable with Sinfield's work. The solo reworking is essentially the same pace yet the smoother production gives it a lush feel and lends itself to its subject.
