This is what I have of the BBC Sessions. It is everything they did with the excpetion of a late 1972 session where "For Your Pleasure" was debuted, along with "The Bogus Man Part 2" (Grey Lagoons) and "The BOB". I don't have the exact dates to hand, but I'm sure someone will quote from the "In Session Tonight" book soon enough. RE-MAKE RE-MODEL / IF THERE IS SOMETHING / THE BOB / WOULD YOU BELIEVE / SEA BREEZES BITTER END / CHANCE MEETING / 2HB / LADYTRON VIRGINIA PLAIN / IF THERE IS SOMETHING (this runs to 12 minutes and is probably the best version I've heard of this song. Look no further for evidence of the John Bonham influence on Paul Thompson). (In concert August 1972) THE BOB / GREY LAGOONS / SEA BREEZES / VIRGINIA PLAIN / CHANCE MEETING / RE-MAKE RE-MODEL PYJAMARAMA / EDITIONS OF YOU / DO THE STRAND / IN EVERY DREAM HOME A HEARTACHE. And I really like that version of Pyjamarama! It's everything an experimental pop song should be. The best complete source is probably a 2cd set known as "First Kiss", although some of the editing and track separation is a bit hit and miss and the In Concert sound is very thin. There's loads of others - When We Were Young, Rebubbles, Re-Make/Re-Model, Chance Meeting... the list goes on. Quality varies on all, as does the speed. Or are we??? The BBC version of ITIS is worth it alone for the strange squeak Bryan belts out in the "When you were young" part, isn't it. Tin Machine have kind of left out most of the wonderful middle part. They probably would have left out keyboards, drums, bass, guitar, saxophone and vocals had they done a version of Bitter-Sweet. Fans of Barry Wom should of course also be directed to the Patto albums (particularly 'Patto' and 'Hold Your Fire') where he plays under the pseudonym of John Halsey, together with the late Ollie Halsall (the 'other' fifth Rutle). If memory serves, Rikki Fataar was a *real* 'Garcon de la Plage' at one time too. > Sorry Steve - sold out. It's very popular in this manor, squire. What ? Only 'very' ??
