Last night we had our wee get-together in Glasgow to celebrate the great man! Those Avalonians in attendance were Gardner Muirhead, Diane Whateley myself, my brother Raymond (one of the Roxy indoctrinators from my youth) John O'Brien and Graham Fairlie. Much merriment and many drinkies (Chilean white, Chilean Red - sod it what you got?) were taken and if Diane's new camera which she got for Xmas works, then you might be able to see us all soon. Great fun was had (I hope) by all and as usual arguments continued over the Stranded/Siren/Country Life era. Fun, fun, fun till last orders and the weatherman (seasons will change) took our T-bird away. Coming out into the Glasgow freezing cold at midnight, the majority opinion was to go on out. Your humble writer being a woose, headed home. Maybe it's just as well, I ended up having to walk the three miles home in a snowstorm, so I hope all of you who shouted at me in the middle of Glassford Street for not going on to a late night hostlery have forgiven me now that I've done more than adequate penance - AAAAAAchooo! Anyway, the whole thing was great fun and I hope it sets the tone for future little outings. It was lovely meeting some of the names and lurkers from the list and it's what's made this year an extra special year - (dare I say it) Ferry Xmas! BTW Did anyone get any cool RM/BF pressies for Xmas? Cheers and a very happy and fun and peaceful and dead good New Year!
