Very interesting post anonymous newcomer. Welcome. Well Messers Ferry and Price still seemed very buddy buddy in Russia and at Castle Howard. #15,000 lent and lost to a friend of 30 years I doubt is neither here nor there to Bryan (and before any of you start your bitching again, no I couldn't afford it, and it's all relative, and I couldn't give a flying **** whether it's come out of our record buying pockets or not) Tony has, I agree, become something of a parody but that's larger than life characters for you. And I believe he has always had an interest in chickens. As for the previous carping about AP's comments in the press re Bryan's personal life, having lived with a journo for 17 years, I know never to believe anything you read in the rags, unless of course you want to. Remember out of the mouth of Bryan at the Albert Hall came, "This is for Lucy, who is the only face". I'd be more inclined to believe that than any second hand kiss and tell. DVD would be good and id be happy to pay. I'd rather not name myself as my friend is still involved in legal wranglings over the shop. Suffice to say Antony Price is far more concerned with keeping chickens (i kid you not, in the shop he had a copy of Poultry Gazette amongst the Vogues, Harpers and Queens etc..) than the world of fashion and the friends who supported him (ie: Bryan). He has crossed the line from eccentric to malicious and idiotic. Very sad. ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 04 Dec 2000 11:17:08 +0000 From: "Simon Galloway" Subject: Re: [AVALON] wilde quotes Strawberry tart. >>> stevesiren 12/02 10:19 pm >>> what about "your majesty is like a stream of bat's piss"? or was that one of Shaws? It was recorded for a BBC concert and the quality of recording is consequently excellent. I'd presume that the listing you've provided is a copy of a fuller recording from that gig, which is interesting. Any coment John O'B ? Without wishing to switch to gush-mode I'd just say its the best bootleg in my humble collection. Its the part of the Mamouna tour when Trower replaced Hubbard, with dark and scary results. David Williams' funk groove remains wonderfully prevalent but old scarecrow's one note solos put a spell on this floris-scented old roui. The Wolverhampton gig also found the Greatest Living Englishman in fine voice, with unusual phrasing on Jealous Guy and Slave. - ---------- >From: "John Doe" >To: >Subject: Re: [AVALON] Need Bootleg Track List >Date: Tue, Dec 5, 2000, 4:01 am > > Sorry for the extra emails to the NG... > > I went through and cleaned the files up and properly named them. > I was also wrong, there are 13 songs, not 12 as I previously mentioned. > > Here is the track listing: > > 01 - I Put A Spell On You > 02 - Slave to Love > 03 - Can't Let Go > 04 - Your Painted Smile > 05 - Windswept > 06 - Out Of The Blue > 07 - Mamouna > 08 - Virginia Plain > 09 - Jealous Guy > 10 - The 39 Steps > 11 - In Every Dream Home > 12 - Editions Of You > 13 - The Strand > > Kevin > > > ___________________________________________________________________________ > The subliminable footer says: > To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: > unsubscribe avalon ___________________________________________________________________________ The subliminable footer says: To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ End of avalon-digest V5 #426 **************************** ======================================================================== For further info, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: info avalon-digest
