I've never heard the one about Ferry losing Jerry because he was trying to get the ultimate sound from a lake! But if it is true then it's oh so typical. "....he'd wear Levis and T-shirts". Oh my God! Slander. Have we now lost half of the Avalon membership? "You'd never find him in London's Met Bar with a young blonde. He's been there, done that and he's grown up." So then we've established that the article was written pre-Mariella Frostrup, pre-Rosie Wetters etc, etc. Good God man are you living on Mars? I found this out yesterday when my player refused for a while to play either region 1 or 2 discs but would play un-regioned discs. (Some are labelled clearly "No Regional Coding", the Roxy/T-Rex Musikladen one *isn't* so labelled.) I thought I'd mention this because it has recently been posted that the disc, being of US origin, could only be played on Region 1 or "hacked" multi-region players, and this might have been putting some Avalonians in Europe or elsewhere off buying it. Ah hey ma ma ma (make it easy on yourself), Ivor. BTW Just a thought - if Emerson had succeeded in persuading Hendrix to join the new supergroup he was planning they would have been called HELP... n.p. The most stylish people are always the most understated ones," he says. Yep, that pretty much sums up my philosophy too. Too bad his perfectionism cost him the love of his life, the most "hated" woman on this discussion list. I think all of you know where I stand on this issue. He never forgave Jagger but when a humiliated Jerry last year called for divorce, he was one of the first to write offering his support. "It's not that he still carries a torch but he still cares. He doesn't want to see her hurt," says Price. It was just what I thought would happen. Bryan ever the gentleman offering solace to a lost love. It's hard to completely let go. I know the feeling. Yet another reason why I like him. It was a year ago when he toured here and that concert still rings true for me. It underscored every emotion I was going thru at that time.
