Yes, it was the highlight of Mamouna for me (an album I admit I originally found difficult to get into), but when I first heard the acoustic version of The Only Face I was amazed. Breathtaking was the only description... It's a beautiful song, and I can't disagree with your other examples of non-complication either! I hope that Ferry now realises the quality of his voice (better than ever, in my view) - and that it doesn't need any elaboration to mix it into oblivion. I've had to go through a load of stuff here at home tonight, that I've been sent to 'promo' if i want to. Amongst these gems/non gems is a single by a 4 piece metal all girl group, name of 'Kittie', with selections from their charming new Album, entitled 'Spit'. The girls themselves have names such as 'Talena' and 'Mercedes'. At the same time, I've been sent a forthcoming Album by 'Peaches', due out Sept 1st, called 'The Teaches Of Peaches'. This little gem has tracks such as the current single 'Lovertits', and other future chartbound sounds such as 'Suck And Let Go', and 'F***k The Pain Away'. Isn't music wonderful (?). Best so far (and this is without bias) is the 'Sunna' promo (the one with the Sultanesque sample), and the newie from World Party sounds promising. Any chance of the 'Peaches' album turning up on an Ad during Coronation St. I wonder ? Back on your heads. Reecey... PS Now playing : A little Album I picked up in Amsterdam called 'Punkorama 3' - first track by NOFX now on, called 'We threw gasoline on the fire and now we have stumps for arms and no eyebrows'. It's been that sort of evening. Easy listening it ain't. ___________________________________________________________________________ Come to Las Vegas and hear the indestructible tagline sing selections from "The Jazz Singer" ! I was listening to the "punkorama cd last week reecey & it's not bad!! (if you like that sort of thing) althoug i must agree that the lyrics of todays punks leave a lot to be desired, Jimmy Pursey must be cringing that his talent for writing moving lyrics like "we're going down the pub" are being sadly ignored Steve ___________________________________________________________________________ Come to Las Vegas and hear the indestructible tagline sing selections from "The Jazz Singer" !
