As I had posted previously, I (unsurprisingly) don't know of a work by that specific title either although as you say, he painted a considerable number of scenes and portraits with a Jewish/Biblical connection (e.g. 'The Jewish Bride') as well as the odd merchant (e.g. 'Nicolaes Ruts'). What I was trying to say is that 'The Rembrandts' seems to fit the bill as the likely correct answer to an incorrect question (a phenomenon not unknown in crossword puzzles and the odd pop quiz question equating Bryan Ferry with Roxy Music) Meanwhile, Rob Whiteford wants to be a complete bard: >old but not clever Rob thinks Rembrandt was a Jewish merchant in a >Shakespeare play. Hot & Hot All you people going to the concerts, talking of cool nights. ------- Dallas was 105 degrees today with heat index of 112. Its just to hot to put clothes on . Thank God for air-conditioned homes & cars. While you enjoy not only Bryan, you have cool evenings to go with it. While I bask in the heatwave. Believe it or not the outside concerts here, still go on , they just bring out the water hoses. Now, most places have these misting water to cool you . Most of your Restaurant patios have them. People here like the outdoors. I bet all the tourists are wondering how we endure it . Just use to it, I guess, & most homes have pools. You enjoy your weather , but I do wish someone would send rain over to the Dallas area. Now would be a great time for me to come over there.
