The very first date in Washington DC, Nov. 2,1999, was canceled because of low ticket sales and those tickets were honored during the Nov. 3rd show. Looking back now that seems amazing. To all those skeptics back then, (seems like forever I know, but the tapes have recorded your names), who thought the material would never fly, I find it quite fitting that B.F. is now / still involved in what has gone on to become his most extensive and successful "solo career" tour. Three cheers to you Bryan. I found it quite comical that many of more vocal detractors of "ATGB" at the time had not even purchased to CD before passing a judgment. The suggestion that Ferry has approached Jobson about touring is very interesting. If you put this together with the reply on Manzanera's web site that he is currently "writing new material for a project you will all be keen on" then an educated guess would have to be that the much muted Roxy reunion is on. It is interesting to note how there are large gaps between the various sections of Ferry's current tour. Could this be because the initial stages of setting up a Roxy project are all ready underway? I for one would love to see Roxy record and tour again. If this is going to happen I would guess that we are in for a release schedule something like this. June Slave To Love. Aug Best of Roxy The Early Years Nov. New ferry Studio Album & Ferry Box Set 2001 New Roxy Album & Tour. There was also the possibility of the BBC Sessions being issued as well though it could be that this would be held back and sold off the back of a Roxy reunion tour. It would certainly make for an interesting and mouth watering year. It may well be that they will get together and try some things out and take it no further, but we will just have to wait and see. In the mean time we have all of these lovely summer evening shows to look forward to. - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon Name the source: "I've got enough attitude to kill everyone in New Jersey." ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Apr 2000 03:52:19 +0200 From: "Sebastian Fasthuber" Subject: Re: [AVALON] Jobson, Ferry, Roxy. > June Slave To Love. > Aug Best of Roxy The Early Years > Nov. It would be ironic if the Roxy reunion (am I the only one not at all convinced this is a good idea?) was preceded by a revival in Ferry's solo profile. Maybe he could call it off if his new LP does well ! Still it would be great to have that level of stuff from him over the next two years.
