I've seen them from time to time, but then I admit, I sometimes spend 10+ hours a week looking at used vinyl. ;) I saw a 20-LP Thelonious Monk box set the other day... now that is pretty rare I believe, although I'm no jazz expert. Sales of ATGB in Norway wouldn't leave Shania Twain standing in terms of 1999 UK sales. Pro-rata it would equate to a double platinum album here in the UK (for what it's worth!). Still, good to know that UK income tax payers are in the hands of someone so able when it comes to mental arithmetic. Comes to mind, wasn't Ian Broudie also in a GREAT unknown band known as CARE? Please correct. Any CARE on CD? They had a track I LOVED. e - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Mar 2000 00:44:57 -0600 From: jas2347@xsite.net Subject: [AVALON] Jas does Amsterdam Well my fellow Eurpoean Avalonians, yours truly will invade Amsterdam on Thursday (be very afraid!) I have been planning to come to your continent for some time. It's a first for me. My original plan was to go to Sweden ( hallo Webmistress) and then to Germany. As it turns out, I'm going to Amsterdamn first with a POSSIBILITY of a side trip to Paris (to be determined). What I don't see this time, Im sure I will see the next time. I'm getting very hyped for this. I would have liked to have seen Bryan in Amsterdam but he played there in February. A friend, whom I will be saying with sent me a copy of the review of the concert at the Concertgebouw on Feb. 17. It is from a newspaper called KUNST ( I hope I got that right). There is a great color pic of Bryan in mid song. I will try to visit the Concertgebouw while I am there. Any hints on clubs or concerts I should try to visit? thanks Jas Doing the Continental 8 miles high...... - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Mar 2000 23:52:49 -0800 (PST) From: Rickmond Wong Subject: [AVALON] Bye for now!
