I was dying to go, but alas, I could not find a date! Kim, Kim, Kim........... As I have said before, never let the fact that you like an artist and your friends do not stop you from going to see the artist. Had I followed the crowd I hung around, I would have never seen a lot artists including Roxy and Bryan. Besides, you never know who you might meet at concerts ( hey Andrew). Yes, we should have talked about Peter Murphy before his concert here last night. I was originally not going to go because I was not into his music. My friend John talked me into it and that's how I ended up there. I am going to investigate his music more now. I heard that there is a "hits" compilation that is available. I will start there and either go back or forward. <<< Has anyone watched the Saturday Night Live segments that featured Goth Talk? It's a hoot.>>> Hilarious - I miss that skit- is that guy who is in that one who also plays monkey-boy still on the show? Yes it's Chris Kattan. He's also "Mango" too! Goth talk is just too funny. When I first saw it I thought he looked a lot like Robert Smith (the hair and all). I'm a big Cure fan. Now as for Jerri Hall: Remember after Bryan's concert in November, you and I and Doug got into that little chat about her? You both said she was a bitch and I stated that yes she was one at the time, BUT I took pity on her. She was bitten my a "snake" and the venom just took hold of her. It took 21 years before the venom wore off. By that time she discovered she that she TOO was at the End Of The Line....... and the snake had rattled his tail and bit, yet another "siren". Andrew: Hope you have healed long enough to hear Siren now. It's a great set of songs that are superbly crafted and performed. IMHO,Country Life and Siren where a one-two punch with Roxy at his best. That E program has been run umpteenth times. It was only worth it to see pics of Bryan and Jeri together. You don't really think they were going to give you the real story do you. Bryan, Jeri nor the "snake" were never interviewed for the story. Now that would have been a program. Jas Will be in Amsterdam next week! A power pop band of great hooks, sort of The Beatles meet AC/DC. Anyway, their main composer and lead singer, Pat Dinizio, is now touring the US with appearances at fans' homes. Pat use to live here in Chicago for a while. I had an extended converstion with him at a electronics store (Kim and Andrew: Best Buy in Lincoln Park) 2 years ago. It was Christmas and he was looking for software to start composing music. He was surprised that I recognized him( hey I'm a music fan) but was very friendly. They play kick ass shows when they are here.
