Replying to my own post!?? Anyway, all is well. He has not been kicked off. The problem lies with @home itself. It is never reliable for speed and ... and.... reliability! He has found that during different times of the day, the speed can vary greatly...from practically shutdown to zippity doodah fast. I found that when I tried uploading. In the morning or late at night, it was a snail's pace.. and then I would get an error and the connection would be reset. It drove me crazy. I finally found the best time was between 2:00 and 5:00 PM (that's Eastern Standard Time in Toronto) for speed and connection reliabilty. Also, with everyone hitting at once didn't help. He's a little worried about the @home people shutting him down, so he knocked down the number of simultaneous downloads from 12 to 3. He doesn't want to raise a flag at @home if suddenly all these hits are happening. I'm going to try and convince him to raise that number a bit. His suggestion is to stay cool and maybe come back to the site at a later time when there are not so many people trying to gain access. He has also removed the anonymous username acceptance since it just gave people false hope...getting you in and going to d/l a song only to have a "Permission Denied" come up, and it tied up an access. Actually, while I was talking to him, someone in the UK came on. He can read the IP address and rotuing, but no names. So whoever you are, I hope you managed OK. You were being monitored ;-) ANyway, that's about it. If you can't get in try during the week between 2 and 5 PM Toronto time and that's probably your best bet. I've already had a few people say they came and went and got the whole show, so it is working.
