Hello again. Well, the fact that the great man himself referred me to The Jim Lawn School For Anoraks during the Webchat on Friday has entirely convinced me that I desperately needed a hasty return to Avalonia to make what is an abnormal fascination seem normal again. My apologies go out to the list members, including Colleen for subjecting everyone to an episode of The Jerry Springer Show in November. Those posts should never have been mailed to Avalon and should never have been expressed in such a mean hearted manner. I genuinely do feel that some of my opinions were merited at that point but that's another matter entirely. As they say, a break's better than a change and even though my departure probably seemed like some massive attention seeking effort, it honestly wasn't designed as such. At the end of the the day the only reason for a non-return would be stubborn pride and as Ferry fans we all know that pride can be a mans worst enemy. A break can be extremely refreshing though. In fact I haven't dreamt of having Bryan Ferry over for dinner in weeks - the dreams have been way wackier than that. One night I dreamt that Colleen gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and christened it, non other than, Gareth. On another night I dreamt of that cold, frosty night in Newcastle when poor old Jocelyn's tits fell off - I took them home and used them as ornaments - one on each side of the mantle piece - and they glow in the dark. I even dreamt that Martin got that video tape finished, for God sake. Also nice to see one of my fellow countrymen joining the list, albeit of the "Big Black" variety that has nothing better to do than threaten a poor Peanut. Delightful to meet up with everyone again during the tour - the people I've met on this list have been good fun and very good natured. It gives the whole thing a less faceless feel, which is great. The list can be brilliant craic - most of the time. The only thing that some people - including myself - need to be reminded off from time to time is that the music is a far bigger player on this list than any particular individual. Regards, Gareth. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Feb 2000 17:41:05 EST From: RODEISLRED@aol.com Subject: [AVALON] Bunt The return of Gareth, how delightfully inevitable!
