I have in fact now returned to Sweden (as you no doubt already have noticed). Arrived at home this morning, more dead than alive, and downloaded too many mails too read before I went to work. My bags are still on the living room floor, waiting to be unpacked. Plastic bags are everywhere with books, videos, tea cups etc etc. We (me&my husband) spent four wonderful days in London, and as Martini might already have written, we had supper in the Stockman Towers. A delightful evening, including exciting double parking outside the off license (with me and Lars in the car...) while Martin stocked up on wine. Mrs Stockman of course resembled an English rose, or perhaps an Irish would be more correct. Martin and I were very well behaved, and only mentioned Roxy/Ferry/APS once or twice (perhaps a litte more than that) during the whole evening. I'll upload the video sticker thingy on my website on Sunday. I'll mail the list when it's up. /Kicki "Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner" G - ------------------------ Kicki Gustafsson, Östersunds-Posten 063-16 16 51 http://www.op.se http://www.torget.se/users/k/KickiG (privat hemsida) - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Jan 2000 13:16:51 PST From: "mark shanahan" Subject: [AVALON] oooooppsss yeah, somehow it was not realized by yours truly that i was sending that idiotic response to the list. i usually reserve *all* my idiotic responses for heather, directly - of course. and it's not so much that the 'mexican' question was so funny, but it definitely *struck* me funny at that particular moment in time. during a semi-long kind of friday. and, hey -- not that heather isn't funny -- she is. just usually when she doesn't realize it. ha-ha. so, i'll try to save my really-off-the-wall and entirely immature humor for her. yes, she is very lucky. now back to whatever it was we were talking about ... ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 28 Jan 2000 22:49:29 +0100 From: "Gitte E. He didn't answer my question either (Are you Jimmy Vapor?) and yes I find it hard to believe he hasn't heard of the discussion group, but not at all surprised by his answer! Jim: A co-worker (Actually I supervise him ) gave me a tape copy of the Macy Gray release. Wow! I was blown away. I was already impressed with her after her appearance on Saturday Night Live two weeks ago. I was not prepared for what I heard on that tape. I Committed Murder is a hoot!! The Billie Holiday (a Bryan favorite) comparisons are not way out of line. When and if she tours here, I will make a point to see her. She's old school and modern at the same time. I hope she gets more press in the months to come. The new Prince release was also mixed in on that tape. I love Prince, but Ms. Macy was way better in comparison. WAY better indeed. Before Bryan performed here in Chicago, I had planned on either making a poster with the Avalon address on it or printing up some cards with the address on it to pass out to those who had not heard of us, including ( if you really believe this) Bry himself. I was too excited that day to remember to do that last minute details. However, I did mention to Bryan in the van ( yes a van) that my internet discussion group were big fans of his ( I forgot what his reaction was. Hey I was in his PRESENCE and was grinning from ear to ear). I regret now not printing up that card. I also regret getting that damn disposable camera. I guess my two questions that i posted to the Bryan's webisite, were not answered since I have not gotten a response yet.
