We had Ferry performing Love Is The Drug and Let's Stick Together to an apparently pretty unresponsive audience. Are Scandinavians normally this reserved Kicki? Good performances though from the full Ferry orchestra. And oh, those girls... I reported what Jim Lawn had told me at the RFH about Ferry management and the demise of I.E.. I meant to mention that David Enthoven's name was amongst the credit's at the end of the Millennium party broadcast. So much static on the list these days. Hopeless cases with fake alibis. My kill-file is a bloodbath. Can't we all do better than this white noise ? I have some news. Some, admittedly, is conjecture. The term "gossip" might even be applied. But from this harlequin robe a colourful thread or two may emerge. * Bryan is mid-tour and catching some rays. Sunkisssed flamingoes must sleep. * Bits of Horoscope are going to be put out on the Ferry box set release this year. * Horoscope is very different from Mamouna in production and content. * Talk of internet release for Box set. * Filmed RFH gig may be out on (UK) TV this spring. * Enthoven now managing Robbie Williams. Bryan not amused and split perhaps not unrelated. * Jim Lawn rumoured to be joining Avalon. May have already have s*bscribed. Upside : Verification of information. Downside : Potential for spin and/or monitoring of non-official material. your man working by the Strand, Martino - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2000 05:13:37 PST From: "mark shanahan" Subject: Re: [AVALON] Feryy Review in Rolling Stone rod wrote: >The current Rolling Stone Rag(the one with David Crosby/Melissa Ethridge on >cover) has a review of Ferry's new album. >It says it won't make your nipples hard but it is still a good CD to >get. well, rolling stone doesn't exactly make my nipples hard either. so, they're _just_ reviewing it now?! why bother ... peaces/ms ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2000 08:25:46 -0500 From: "Ujvary, Richard A." And as for Ferry getting some rays and in mid-tour as Martin's gossip noted, I figure he's going to have to to work like a dog the rest of the year to get out the new work...unless he's changed his whole way of working. Besides the "record", he'll no doubt be doing a video too. He must be in good shape. ISTR that at some point Bride was going to be a double elpee - source possibly from contemporary fan club rumours. Viva was also planned as a double, but we only got one disc, perhaps a reaction against the mid '70's glut of live double albums and their nadir, Frampton Comes Alive.
