Jason, Kicki and I will not be taking the bread out of our (five) children's mouths in the meantime. I still haven't decided which is the most efficient and convenient way to collect non-sterling payments. We really tried to get them out before Christmas but logistics conspired against us. We've been shopping around for a good deal on the reproductions and we've finally got a reasonable price. One guy was quoting £12 per NSTC copy ! ... but the original prices I quoted to the list will now be sufficient to cover our costs. Indeed we may, repeat may, end up with around $50-$75 excess which I suggest we forward to Kicki for the ongoing costs of her site. In a perfect world UK Avalonia should receive APS around Jan 12, Europe around Jan 15 and the rest the following week. Thanks, as usual, for your seemingly infinite patience.. (i.e.) take 'seven deaadly sins' & 'the name of the game' - -- i can't swallow these two without kacking them back up -- violently! anyway, i like 'nyc' as well. the album as a whole has more rythym and brevity/conciseness to it that 'bete' did not. less sweeping inane endlessness. but, don't get me wrong, i like 'bete' quite a bit too. just not all of it. peaces/ms ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 07 Jan 2000 10:51:54 CST From: "Mary Rose Chibnall" Subject: Re: [AVALON] Record Collector hi everybody. God you all make me sick! well, 'peanut' -- i for one think you're damned brilliant! sort of like a shiny new half-dollar (that's $.50 for anyone who's actually reading) or a *happy* person. i like you; don't leave the list. we're desperate for good people like you. god knows, monquiboy sure hasn't been filling the void! it's up to you ... what would george washington carver think if he knew what you were up to?! just remember, if you don't like the list now, try coming back again as peanut butter some day. maybe you'll mellow out by then ... later/ms ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Jan 2000 07:57:17 +1030 From: Glen Lehman Subject: [AVALON] Fripp said You sound angry Richard. Anyrate I just re-found this quote in my King Crimson programme the precise date I cannot recall. It gives a snippet concerning the problems experienced in the early 1990s by Mr Ferry. Perhaps, this could impact on his perspective(s) on unreleased materials (Fripp noted that there are 120 KC boots available in Japan). FRIPP WROTE: "Bryan Ferry auditioned for Crimson in late 1970 and I turned him down but suggested he go to EG Management (a piece of advice he may well now regret). He went there will Roxy Music, which was how I met Eno. My work with Eno was an important alternative line of playing to that offered by Crimson: the release of "No Pussyfooting (1973) was held up for nearly two years by EG and Island Records because they believed that Eno's association with me after his departure from Roxy Music would damage his commercial viability." - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 07 Jan 2000 13:30:16 PST From: "mark shanahan" Subject: Re: [AVALON] Re: How to leave neil writes: >And no, I'm not a convict, I'm a database consultant sentenced to >this foul place.
