The original resides here in the wilderness--the Philadelphia Museum of Art, to be exact. Here are some images of it: http://members.tripod.co.uk/dadaism/artwork/bride.jpg (black and white) http://www.wisc.edu/arth/ah202/glg/artists/duchamp.html (in color, but very small) http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~rmcl/lg.html (a nice overview, but with lots of annoying animation for some reason) The Hamilton/Duchamp connection is explained in the latest biography of Duchamp. He was a major UK player in the dark days before the Beatles and the Stones, and the only real alternative to piss-poor UK rockers like Tommy 'Rock With The Caveman' Steele and Cliff 'Move It' Richard. Donegan has an affectionate place in British hearts of a certain age and has make a career of dragging out his old hits 'Rock Island Line,' 'My Old Man's A Dustman' and 'Does You Chewing Gum Lose It's Flavour On The Bedpost Overnight?' He was in poor health with heart problems for some years, but has perpetuated his career on the back of the British motto that 'all things that have been around for a long time must be good.' One of Donegan's stated admirers is influential DJ John Peel, and LD played the Glastonbury Festival last year.
