When I walked out of the theater, a white Limo sped around the corner and down Broadway. I thought Bryan was making a fast getaway. I know better now, and next time I will wait for him. I hope that when he said he would see us soon ( at the very end) he meant that it will be much less of a gap between (albums) tours! Also, there was an insert with the new issue of Vanity Fair titled "Icons of Rock" with text by Bry's good buddy, Lisa Robinson. There's a section on glam and the New York Dolls and Bowie (among several others) have pictures in there but not Roxy which gets a passing mention only. What a disappointment. I will say, in my completely partial way, that it was fantastic and it seemed to go by in just minutes. Bryan looked fabulous, sounded great. His voice has obviously changed, but he delivered each song with so much passion, style, and confidence that the matureness of his voice seemed to embrace all the material. The band was in top form; he seems to have a partiality to blondes in his string sections and unattractive bald men in his other sections. The tuxedo and leather-pants combo was rated by my girlfriend, who found him utterly adorable and sexy. She brought binoculars, and the first thing she said after Bryan came on was, "I think Jerry Hall made a mistake!!!!" Brian (from the list), I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to interact with you more. Being there with someone just made it harder to do all the manic Roxy-philia things I might have done had she not been there. But I'm glad she was... And I would never in a thousand years been the guy shouting out, "Prairie Rose!!!" Alas, the Phytofix didn't come in time: had to make do with Aussie. Still, live Bryan Ferry was like the mood music to the greatest seduction of all time... Viva Bryan Neil in WeHo... __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
