They both went on to have the best of session players and even shared some like Branford Marseilles and Omar Hakim. What Ferry did with them was on a different planet though. Sting's stuff was so boring. There was a time in America when all you heard was Sting and Phil Collins on the radio, it was the worst of times, no Ferry though, too interesting I guess. I just bet you guys are all fans of the TV show Providence on Fridays. Yeah right! Anyway I am and tonite during one of the scenes Bryan crooning Avalon was the background music. And i did see him last nite in Chicago and he was absolutely fabulous! I must admit I was taken aback a bit by his voice on ATGB and thought maybe it wasn't there anymore so I went to the concert thinking let me hear him live then I'll make my decision. Well he's still got it and I'm still in adore-ment. One thing that always got me is that I never understood why some reviewers called him a cold performer because he isn't. I really think he has a certain warmth or charm that really comes across. If anyone is a fan they know what I mean. You can't help but love him. I think he really enjoyed himself last nite and I don't know know why but he always kind of makes me laugh too. He has some great goofy moves and still comes across as swuave as ever. And he sounded really really great espceially with the old songs like Chance Meeting and A Song for Europe. The back-up musicians were a wow I always admired Bryan's tast for picking the perfect people to complement his music live in concert and on recordings. The siren musicians were so cool and the arrangements were totally heavenly. I was in a rapture. I just adore the man and fell in love all over again!!! And just think I get to see him in LA all over again and this time I'm determined to meet him as well it's only been 20 years in coming. He's my Mickey Mouse I've waited forever to meet him. Wish me luck!!! Still in Ferry-land......
