And in turn John, I'd like to ask you where you heard that Fripp had played on "As The World Turns". While I'm mentioning Robert Fedder I was interested to read recently about that bootleg video of the Hammersmith 1994 concert that he loaned to Martin. I've never seen any footage of that tour and just wonder how widely available is this document, where could I get a copy and what's the quality of the recoding like? I taped the Wolverhampton show from the Mamouna tour off Radio 2 a few years ago and it's a treat. Always thought it a pity that they never released a visual document of that tour. and, finally just to say that the best current picture of the new hair doo is on the inside cover of Mojo, and currently not showing on Kicki's site. Ferry's looking great, swell as ever attired in blue suit . I have a few photos of him over the last couple of years with the 20 foot fringe and he was starting to look ridiculous. This was discussed on the list several years ago and I think we decided Johnny Depp would make a good Ferry and John Malkovich(sp) would make a good Eno, although he`s a little too old to play the part now. I forget who we picked for the other roles. DC is the closest, but it probably won`t yield the cheapest fares. The cheapest flight to DC I`ve been able to find (day of the show) is a red-eye for $550 with a lay-over in Detroit. The cheapest flight of all the venues I`ve been able to find is to Philly for $133 and there`s a lay-over in Detroit. As a matter of fact, no matter which venue I would decide on, the flight has a lay-over in Detroit. *But* I can`t get a flight to Detroit for that show for under $750. Go friggin` figure! Boy, an Atlanta gig sure would have been nice. >:-( Gene - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 02 Oct 1999 01:00:55 -0500 From: jas2347@xsite.net Subject: [AVALON] Bryan's on Tour-Finally!!!!!! Boys and girls eventually came out in June 1985. I wish his last few albums were only 7 months late..... Billy Idol was offered the song after Bryan, so Simple minds were third choice Regards John O'Brien - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ End of avalon-digest V4 #292 **************************** ======================================================================== For further info, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: info avalon-digest
