Orchestral versions of pop music sometimes come out kinda wierd. I have a CD of the Munich philharmonic orchestra playing ABBA, and it just doesn't convey the same feeling that ABBA does by themselves. Then there was that project Metallica did, Apocolyptica or something, which was orchestral releases of all their songs. I think I played it once on my radio show and then got bored. But I could hear Avalon in orchestra. Would he also sing? Well this is about all I can think of.
