The article is also full of nuggets. Lots of cuddly-feely stuff about Roxy, what great pals they were and still are ! (I catch the sweet scent of Eau de Puxley in the air.) There's even a suggestion that Roxy would now be up and running but "I haven't seen Andy for about six months because he's just bought a house." Bungalow Castle Style no doubt. How Bry and Bri snuggled up at the Premiere of Velvet Goldmine, nudging one another as "one of our bits came on." One extraordinary misquote has Bryan saying he has "four boys." Tara tara. And Bryan gives his own version of the tennis match with Tony Blair, Rory Bremner and Dave Stewart. I presume that surreal anecdote hit the list last year when Rory Bremner related the story on a chat show. If not, I'll write it up for your delectation. Kinksta, can you get Mojo in Sweden ? GM replied with the following Press release: "Should GM have handled technology the same way Microsoft did, then: 1- Your car would have stopped twice a day, without any reason, you just accept that, restart the car and drive along. 2- Every time a new traffic sign is renewed, you would have bought a new car. 3- The dashboard would have been replaced by just 1 display, with just 2 words: "Default Error" 3- Apple Macintosh should have designed a car, that runs on solar-energy, as 5 times faster, easier to operate, but only allowed to drive on 5% of the highway. 4- Your airbag would have asked you "Are You Sure?" before it blows up. 5- With your GM car you would have bought all brands of roadmaps, whether you like and need those or not. However taking out the map takes you down to 50% overall performance. 6- Your car could only be used by one person at a time, unless your choice is "Car98" or "CarNT". The extra seats are optional at your own costs. 7- With every new GM car you would have to renew your driving course, for nothing will work the familiar way. 8- You have to hit the "Start" button to shut the engine. IMHO...Bill, a RICH, nerdy-boy played the "Game of Numbers", could spent his $$$ on 'mass-marketing' and 'mass-production'. And the Global mass accepted that. Remark 1: The overall computer-viruses are spread by PC's, because of all those 'freebies' and 'The Art of Duplication", whereas the Mac is known as the 'best-virus-free-kept-computer' Remark 2: Isn't that a Mac is able to run different platforms? e.g.: SoftWindows, SoftPC, Linux. Regardless of the fact that Win GUI is a duplication of Mac's 80's machines. Question?: was VHS video system the best Global system?...(my lips are sealed) Frank ........................................................................... > >"Marvelous (and free) technology he has kept away from the >world?!!" > >History Lesson (in a nutshell): >Dumb-asses at Xerox develop the first GUI (graphical user interface) >but don`t know what to do with it so they allow arrogant, deranged, >psychopath Steve Jobs to lift it from them. >Arrogant, deranged, psychopath Steve Jobs builds a computer based on this >GUI and decides that every single piece of software ever developed would >*have* to come from him and can only be used on *his* computer. >Arrogant, deranged, psychopath Steve Jobs adds to his moniker "Dumb-Ass" >when he allows rich, nerdy-boy Bill Gates to lift it from him. >Rich, nerdy-boy Bill Gates develops a GUI that can be used on *any* computer >and allows *anyone* to write and profit from software they develop based on >his GUI. > >I.Q. Ah yes I remembered that night very well, 'cause I was doin' Service for the Country and had special permission to dismiss as long as I will be back before they raise the flag. Much to my concern, Maestro started his show way too late and by the time the show was at his end the sun was slowly shining through. I kept looking my watch while Meastro did his 4(!) encores. Mid 70's was also the time that I had close contact with Richard Harris, the photographer of "Let Stick Together"-cover. Wow, this bloke had a huge pile of pics of different concerts.
