Greets, http://www.mtv.com/news/gallery/l/lennox980824.html There is a brief mention of Ferry on MTV.com in this article about Dave Stewart. Unfortunately as mtv viewers are unable to sustain their attention span for longer that a nanosecond, Ferry's lengthy and valuable career is largely ignored in favour of Stewart's transitory work with rock mayfly Natalie Imbrugliogloglio and Stewart's own latest w***y project. Regular readers of this group will however doubtless be astonished to hear it implied in the article that during their endless round of schlepping around fancy restaurants and playing tennis with Tony Blair, the notorious 'workaholic' Ferry and notorious 'pretentious t****r ' Stewart actually found time to write and record some material. What an afternoon that must have been! Incidentally, I have long thought that if rock vampire Alice Cooper were to get a 'proper haircut' (copyright - My Dad) he would bear more than a passing resemblance to our Mr Ferry. Now we hear that Ferry shares Cooper's passion for golf. Are they in fact one and the same? Have you ever seen them together? I think not....well...not since the Empire Pool gig in 1972 anyway... So Ferry has done a 'Thirties album and is into golf. Perhaps his stage gear for the tour will turn out to be that 'plus-fours' look that's so in vogue these days...or is tartan too passe?
