She is sorry to be delayed, but last evening down in Lover's Lane she strayed, madam, Miss Otis regrets, she's unable to lunch today. When she woke up and found that her dream of love was gone, madam, She ran to the man who had led her so far astray, And from under her velvet gown, She drew a gun and shot her love down, madam, Miss Otis regrets, she's unable to lunch today. When the mob came and got her and dragged her from the jail, madam, They strung her upon the old willow across the way, And the moment before she died, She lifted up her lovely head and cried, madam...... Miss Otis regrets, she's unable to lunch today. They were fabulous. Debbie Harry was a knock out. An earth mother supreme. Yes, she's put on a little weight, but who cares! With her brown and blond streaks, she gives you glamour goddess teasing with some of the old punk rock sneering. She even bit off the buds of a rose that fan gave her and spit it out at the audience. No more pogoing, but a lot of tossled hair and shimmying. She still has it and her phrasings have seemed to have gotten better. No she did not sing ATOMIC nor RIP HER TO SHREADS in the same register as on the record, but she did hit the high notes for MARIA. The rest of the band was great. Chris Stein looked healthy and very blond. Jimi Destri added just the right touches of keyboards and background vocals. The two new added band members ( forgot their names) blended in just right. Clem Burke, the drummer, was a tornado. His explosive drumming propelled the entire band. He is the Charlie Watts,Keith Moon, and Paul Thompson of this group. I could not see them playing without him. I know some on this list are against "certain bands" reforming, but in this case it worked. Viva Blondie.
