Anyway, it's pretty enraging. It's really to stop grey-import etc and allow staggered releases of titles (i.e. US first, Europe next- like traditional movies). But it can be got-around. You can get certain DVD drives modified to play all regions etc. I would seriously doubt any official Roxy DVDs exist. It is bad enough trying to track down their old VHS videos. Is that the one with Let's Stick Together radio edit or '98 version? I already have the former. I saw the Old Navy commercial last night on VH1 w/ Jerry Hall, Wow! She looks smokin'! Damn! I'm wearing my cargo shorts today just because... The top 100 women special is surprisingly good. How about Bowie's comments on Labelle, "the 1st time I saw them on stage I thought, this is incredible, an American black trio doing glam rock". He also said when Brian Eno first heard Donna Summer he came running into the room and said "I've heard the future of music... those artificial drums, that black voice....." No one seems to care what Bryan thinks, he's just credited as the guy who fired Sophie B. Hawkins and like Eno, it was the best thing to happen to her career. WOW! You were there weren't you. OK for those of you who haven't heard the harrassment story here goes. The show was at the Arena in Milwaukee and the main floor is flat and surrounded by a 5 or 6 foot wall for when they had sporting events. Our seats were to the right of the stage about 1/3 of the way back, the first row on the wall. So we had an unobstructed view of the stage and overlooked the arena floor and there was a small half wall and a railing directly in front of us which we had all kicked our feet up on. Great seats. Roxy was great and after Zappa's set started we notice the top of the head of this frail looking blonde guy right in front of us standing on the main floor. I lean forward and see that it's Eddie checking out Zappa's show. I leaned back to the group and go "Hey this head is Eddie". Concerts were pretty lax back then and we were smoking some illicit substance, hash I think and We're all going should we offer some to him? So I tell my girlfriend, a really nice, fairly straight, professional type, who didn't even smoke to do the honors and talk to him. So she taps him on the shoulder and says "Hey do you want some of this? (offering pipe) and he lookes at her like she's crazy and looks around as if the feds were watching, he steps a few feet away from us and suddenly dissappears. And that's about it kids. Not that much of a story and it sounds better when I only allude to it but it happened just that way, I swear. Eddie may tell a different story (like he would remember?) but that was it and next thing we know Eddie was a Mother. Oh I guess all I need to add was that my girl was a hot looking babe, does that bring it all together for you.. Maybe he was only worried that we would mention his activities to Bry. Which seemed in some way appropriate because it being 104 degrees here in mill town, I was naked when I recieved it. she seemed like a nice enough sort, she was very cute naked. Me on the other hand, i was just naked, I feel self consious when I'm naked alone. It said she accepts fan male at the click of another button So... So Jasmine, I'll admit I'm a pretty good looking older fellow, who gets around quite a bit, and I'm really flattered that a nice looking, younger girl such as yourself would go through all the trouble of finding my email address and contacting me, but it does seem to be happening more often these days.
