I recall Zappa was less jazzy, more rock 'n' roll on that tour. Took a train from Minneapolis with some major Zappa fans who were not as impressed with Roxy as I would have liked. Something about a "simpering British faggot..." Look man, don't make me relate my "harrassment of Eddie Jobson" story again. Punky Meadows, oh no it was Eddie. I can't believe you remembered that name, what a blast from the past, you must have been a big fan? I used to see it and think I bet these guys are total posers, but I never heard the music. By definition it can't do any single album the justice it deserves without a spread three or four times the size but it's a good and affectionate article. No mention of the new solo album (presumably that will come in October or even November's issue!). Disappointingly there's also no advertizing for the remastered discs in this issue either - further evidence of Virgin's lack of support?? - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Jul 1999 22:46:37 +0100 From: "Richard" Subject: [AVALON] Re: DVD Can anyone enlighten me about any Roxy / Ferry DVDs that are available so that I have something good to play on my new toy??
