Thus far Bahi, Robert, Richard and Gareth have shown their hand. Did John O'B get a ticket ? Any lurking Avalonetttes ? (I've always wondered why UK Avalonions seem to be exclusively male.) And how shall we know one another. One thing we share is an ideal of beauty. I have documented the surreal circumstances surrounding my meeting with Gareth last February - I'd checked his Avalon "Profile" on the list and he'd described himself as something like Tarzan / Peter Stringfellow so I was a trifle surprised to meet an adolescent Tom Cruise with an Irish brogue - and I wonder if we should have some visual indicator of our kinship. A carnation has a certain John Steed appeal. (In furs or blue jeans ?) A white tux is too obvious. A packet of St Moritz would be a witty nod to 70s Ferry. Any ideas ? In 1984, all Roxy Music vynil records have been released in CD formats, except three : Greatest Hits (1977 ), The Atlantic Years ( 1983 ), and The High Road ( 1983 - Live ). The two first have been deleted from edition in 1984, the last one has been completed by Heart Still Beating ( 1990 ). Concerning The Atlantic Years, I saw the vinyl LP available at www.imusic.com, a few weeks ago, also by second hand shop in NYC ( Greenwich Village ), if you can have a connection there. Piece of cake old boy. Waterloo is the best Tube stop, and I think Kikki got the lines right. 20 minutes max. Royal Festival Hall is situated on the South Bank beside all those 60s brutalist monuments to so-called People's Culture (including National Theatre, Hayward Gallery and National Film Theatre.) RFH is well sign-posted from the tube station. I saw Marc Almond there a couple of years back and the sound quality is excellent. Great you can make it. Don't forget a packet of St Moritz about your person ! yours, in a highland fling, Martin PS Never heard of tcheucter before but it may interest you to know that I lost my virginity in Beaully, which is, er, spitting distance from Inverness.
