Hotel Bouque - the French soap 3 different versions of Will you still love me tomorrow Bry on Northumbrian coast with Jools Holland Bry in Tokyo performing Shame Shame Shame and In Your Mind Mackay doing Wild Weekend at Gothenberg Spell on You on Saturday Night Live Psalm on Musikladen - very scary performance Remember that the key to this tape is that none of the footage is available on Total Recall or other released videos. At least I think so. I know some people would have preferred it if I'd simply played all of the concerts, but I think its cooler this way. And a lot of the concert footage has appalling quality. Gothenberg is so bad you can barely make out who's playing ! And as for the interviews I guess I've got around 20 from around the world, mostly promoting F&B, Avalon and B&G, and Bete Noire. And of course there's a lot of repetition "It gets harder to make albums blah blah." So I am happy to have been selective with this material. There's nothing from Bride, which, for me, is a great shame. Anyway. We should have the master ready ina fortnight and I'll alert the list as to how you can get your copy. If you want it ! 'your painted smile' also offers more than just a little kernel of genuine truth. why ... it's *yummy* ... i just watched 'velvet goldmine' for the first time about two weeks ago and i have to say i enjoyed it, for the most part. somehow, from this list, i didn't get exactly how prominently featured roxy was on the soundtrack and in the film too. most of it was pretty interesting. even more interesting was that roxy was featured so highly, since it really seemed to revolve around bowie/iggy pop characterizations ... martini spoke of roxy/bf categories. i'd suppose i'd fit into the latter ... the group to go hook, line & sinker for the whole shebang. ferry/roxy music, for me, is/are one of the few solo artists/groups whose music i would buy *blind*. david sylvian is the other. well, OK -- marvin gaye, otis, leadbelly, al green, sinatra, sarah vaughan, robert johnson ... well, you get the picture. when you look at the big picture, there really are relatively few artists of ferry's caliber. OK ... so, kicki -- now i know why Will decided to bring his tongue into the discussion with you -- :^) frankly, you ought to ck in with bry-bry to see who he's using for his next album cover, no?! so what if it was eleven years ago ... now, i hate to be a real party-pooper, but i have to say (for god's sake ... really), andy cooper has something here with the overly-long e-mail copies. i know; i know ... can't we bandwidth-lovers just *shut up* already?! the answer is: NO! really, how much more time does it take to copy, paste (or whatever the case may be ...) and then, um -- EDIT our various & sundry e-mails we're posting? i see 42K, 44K, etc, etc and i personally just go 'arrrggghhh' ... WHILST i want to get to the information that IS there, the 'weeding out' process is getting a **bit much**. of COURSE, though -- this is in my non-humble opinion, of course. and now ... i bow to the divine in you all ... peaces & stuff/ms _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH SO TRUE. How could a man who had a backround like Cream sink to the levels of releasing some of that bland, spiritless, tired, drivel that he is known for nowadays. Uh.. one exception. Pilgrim- the title song from his last release. It sounds so much like Curtis Mayfield that I thought it was the man himself. Good track. He should have parodied Stone Free and called it Soul Free. It kills me to hear him turn hot old blues tunes into elevator music. Let us hope that our Maestro's testicles continue to grow with age as would appear to be the case. Not to go off on a tangent, but I think Mr. Eric truly needs a challenge to get him to reach the fire that he is capable of. I think if hsi good pal and my personal hero Jimi Hendrix were alive today, Eric would not have drifted to so far into elevator music. Eric has said in interviews that he truly connected with Jimi and cried the day that he died. Even when he was jammed with Buddy Guy, he only "hints" at the fire that he is capable of. Concerned with testicles today Great balls of fire Will ???
