Maybe it's the same as the Taxi album: working on something completely different to be able to finish his own material. It's possible that he is inspired by that Noel Coward tribute he did last year. I think it's great news. I like the things he did in the past with the songs of that period. If he comes out with another remake album that must mean writers block kicked in again. I can't believe Of all the great songs that he wrote in the 70-80 that there is none left. And that he prefers to do remakes. I thought Taxi was OK but I hardly play it that much. I guess he prefers retirement. If he wanted to reunite with Manzanera and Mackay I'm sure it could be worked out. But my impression is he is a home body now. Ramble.....
