Nope, if you read more carefully, you'll se that it was back in 1988.
I was working at Expressen, the then largest daily newspaper in all of the
Nordic Countries (it isn't now), and the Sunday magazine was doing a pice
called "The return of Casanova" :-D
The needed somebody who looked like me (I had very long, red hair, pale
skin), ans I said yes. So, there I was, draped in only a red silk sheet
with a gorgeous hunk (also in a sheet) from an agency. In the picture, he
kisses my throat and I lean back as far as I can...quite Jerry Hall-ish, in
a way.

Subject: [AVALON] Not really trivia, but there is a question
Hi
I've got a couple of things I wanted to discuss.
Firstly, I just got the RM and BF video collection (i.e the one released
in 95 in conjuction with the Best of RM and BF cd). It's great to see
finally see the clips. I'm a bit disappointed that Avalon and More Than
This were left off.
My question is what year was the cover photo of Bryan Ferry taken. He
looks younger in that picture than he does in the Mamouna clip. (I was
actually a bit baffled to see the Mamouna type clip for 'The Girl of my
best friend').
Overall I enjoyed the video, but I must say that Bryan has a bit of an
obsession with putting girls in his clips, but that's another topic
completely.
Finally, I was watching an old Rage video that I had taped back in
november last year (Rage is an music video show on Friday's, Saturdays
from about 12:00pm till 9:00 am) and I saw that Sonic Youth had guest
programmed. They played Lets Stick Together and Virginia Plain. The
singer of sonic youth spoke about Bryan doing albums of all cover
versions and said that he remembers watching the Lets stick together
clip when he was younger. "Bryan's standing there and he's got his
whole Roxy thing going, and then Jerry Hall comes in like a tigeress".

A question about last year's Concert Classics CD - a recording from the
Manifesto tour. While introducing Stronger Through the Years, Bryan says
'many people couldn't be here tonight because of Passover - this one's for
them'. Is this a simple, timely dedication or is there a stronger link
between the song's lyric and the Jewish festival? Technically, Bryan's
singing isn't that accomplished during this song but it works and the band
- - Phil Manzanera, in particular - brings it to life. It makes a dull demo
of the album recording.
I can't remember hearing Manzanera or anyone else play better than he does
on this album's version of Dreamhome. The man is wired to HT leads at this
point.

What a coincidence?!! One of the trivia questions I considered was "What
60`s blues artist from the 60`s was once kidnapped by a German acid cult?
But I knew few people (In the U.S., anyway) would have known who he is.
Peter Green`s lack of exposure in the U.S. is just another example of a
bland, white-bread music industry`s arrogance in over looking genius.

(released 1988) today. The store owner had placed a sticker on it saying
it has a picture disc and is very rare. Is this picture disc release
as rare as the store owner would have me think?

Bryan didn't name Isaac after Isaac Hayes. He said he was feeling
"biblical."

Subject: [AVALON] David Sylvian (Non-BF/RM)
Although it seems that most Sylvian fans are also fans of Bryan Ferry,
the reverse could probably not be said... however, today the latest from
David Sylvian "Dead Bees on a Cake" was released today. It's his first
solo album since 1987!
Wow- this is an incredibly romantic album, and the two best songs are "I
Surrender," and "Darkest Dreaming." Seems that Mr. Sylvian has
definitely taken an interest in Eastern religions and there are quite a
few references to his soul searching on the album.. I highly recommend
the album...

Thanks.
Be Well. Bye;
