After a fairly quiet month for the list this elusive moniker has sparked an intriguing debate amongst us. Great to see some lesser known subscribers sharpening their quills. I think we'll firm up a decision in a week's time, Friday March 26. So please keep 'em coming. I suspect that the best is yet to come. At the half-way stage, then, I'd like to make the following awards and comments. Weird Suggestions : Robert's "Two Little Boys" and Gregg's "The Roxy Weather." Even Weirder Suggestion : Kicki's solvent abuse inspired "Coronation Street Paved with Gold." Most Boring : (Sorry Kicki I love you dearly but...) "Exclusive Collection - Not Available in your Regular Store - Filmclips." (Stockholm's copywriters can sleep easy at night !) And Tim's spectacularly dull "A COMPLIATION OF CLIPS FROM BRYAN FERRY AND ROXY MUSIC"S TV APPEARANCES 72-99 CULLED FROM MANY SHOWS AND MANY NATIONS." Watch out Dr Puxley... Most Frustrating Suggestion : Will won't release to the list his absolutely brilliant "Melancholy Shimmering" (damn, sorry Will, not supposed to give away your proposed website title) Most Popular Suggestions (although votes count for nothing) : My "Oh how the Ghost of you Clings...." and TriTri's variations on Re-Make, Re-Model" For what its worth I think the former is a trifle sentimental and gives the impression that Bry's hung up his clogs, and the latter may have been used before in a TV tribute and seems a bit cold to me..although it is good. Not ruling either out though... Ones to watch : Angel's "Serpentine Sleekness" "Midnight Blue Casino Floors" Kicki's "A Really Good Time" Tim's "All Those Moments Lost In Wonder" Chris' "Should Make The Cognoscenti Think." William's "Celluloid Pictures Of Living" Mmmn, that is good. Red's "Cut Price Souvenirs" Richard's "Deluxe and Delightful" And finally, a new one of mine, "Fires Raging In My Soul" from Both Ends Burning Keep trawling those lyrics - remember Pasi's Heart Stil Beating website has all of them. We haven't heard from Bahi, Vapor, Colleen, John OB, Rexy, and many other favourites yet. Stephen/fellow australians, I'm curious as to whether any of you might have taped the SBS Sunday night documentary on Guy Bourdin? I was only watching for the photographic value, but then guess who, & almost exclusively, provided the oh-so-appropriate soundtrack? I was proud.. and I really would like a copy of the show. ..(? if fea/pos-sible?) Or could anyone direct me to where there is more work of photographer, Guy Bourdin? I think the best was the Blah Blah Blah tour with the jet black hair and the biker jacket. It was in Chicago, the Ramones opened and Steve Jones was on guitar and the Alien Sex Fiend guy also. It was great. Iggy is one of those guys that I went nuts buying bootleg video of and I must have footage of him dropping his pants during the Brick by Brick tour in five different cities, not that I'm into that sort of thing. Hey Will: Was this the same show that show I saw too? I sill have my ticket stub from that one. It was at the Aragon ( in my opinion the abosolute worst place to have a concert. I live down the street from it. Thank god Roxy nor Bryan ever played there). I was up in the balcony. The opening act was the Dickies followed by the Ramones (gabba gabba hey) and then Iggy. It was billed as the Greatest Show on Earth. I don't know about that, but it was a good one. I was not aware that was Steve Jones on guitar-wow. Too bad Iggy did not show is willy at that show but he did shake his ass a lot. He's 54 and still kicking. Jas Chicago PS I like Remake/Remodel/Rewind as the title for the compliation.
