Also, I find that people often make the mistake of thinkning that someone who has aged has aged badly. Growing old does things to your looks, actually. It's part of the concept. If you, at 60, look rather older and more worn than you did at 25, well, that's how things work out. /Kicki G - ------------------------ Kicki Gustafsson, Östersunds-Posten 063-16 16 51 http://www.op.se http://www.torget.se/users/k/KickiG (privat hemsida) - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 07 Mar 1999 18:52:13 -0500 From: jspellman@banet.net Subject: Re: [AVALON] Song Books Kicki Gustafsson wrote: > >In a message dated 99-03-05 20:58:20 EST, you write: > > > ><< My point really is the guy aged very nicely. My point was some people still look very attractive in their later years like Ferry and Bowie. While Keith never had model looks, he looked like he aged 30 years in the 70's, where Bill Wyman looked almost the same. Iman and Jerry Hall were both knockouts in their 20's, but I think Iman is still very beautiful today and Jerry is not so.... I never realized how many hits they had. It made me think of Roxy reunion and how it would be much more difficult for them to pull of because of the different line-ups and instrumentations from year to year. Jim I forgot to mention that Clem Burke is one hot drummer. He propelled the entire band. My hope that when Roxy gets ready to reform/perform again that Paul Thompson is behind the skins. His drumming would be sorely missed if the reunion tour happens without him. Outside of Charlie Watts, he is one of the best out there. Yes Blondie did have a lot of hits. I can only hope the when they tour that they will play more of their older catalog. ...back when I had a job where I could listen to the radio, I used to call up the radio station every year and suggest that they play "It's My Party" on 9/26 .... they always complied, being Roxy-favorable. - - --TriTri Yes WXRT and in particluar Terri Hemmert is very Roxy Friendly. This is the station where I first heard them back in 1973. They got me hooked for which I will be forever grateful.
