Come to think of it, this won't mean much because last time I was on the list (about a year ago) I never posted much, so you probably won't remember me. But I remember you, ahahahaha. The main reason I'm resubbing is the Stockholm '76 tape/CD-R tree that happened last year. The person who was supposed to be sending me my copy never came up with the goods, so I'm appealing to someone nice who'll do a copy for me. I'll supply the CD-Rs, return postage etc. Ta. What is the Avalonia project? It sounds intriguing. Regarding the mailing list, with the postcards that come with the Thrill of It All/More Than This CDs, don't bother sending them in! I happen to work for the company that does these mailouts (you know - Trinity Street, 3 Alveston Place, Leamington Spa, CV32 4SN), and I can say with authority that the Bryan Ferry mailing list no longer exists. It's quite sad really - - every week, we get quite a few cards from Ferry releases, often with "When's the next album coming out?" scrawled on the bottom, and they go straight in the bin. This doesn't mean Bryan's been dropped or anything - other mailing lists we no longer handle include Chemical Brothers and George Michael. It probably just means that someone else is now responisble for his PR. (Incidentally, if you're trying to contact a band personally, don't write to Trinity Street - all fan mail is opened, laughed at and thrown away. It will never reach its appointed destination. And don't bother sending any cards in if you're not from the UK, because they get chucked as well. Hey, I don't make the rules up.) I shall go now, for I am Mark Sturdy. - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 Feb 1999 18:14:54 -0500 From: "David@Medazzaland" Subject: [AVALON] commercial Hi; There is a commercial on american television now that has a Roxy or Ferry song in it. I can't for the life of me remember what it is, but it has the words, "I'm in with the in crowd" in it. Can anybody tell me the song title and the album it comes off of. david ________________________________ Better living through denial!
