I am 32 years old. Orginally from San Francisco,California and I now reside in Atlanta,Georgia. I work for Macromedia Inc. http://www.macromedia.com I am a Shockwave/Multimedia/Web Developer for them. I am also a huge fan of the Macintosh copmuter. It is my life. I have been a huge Roxy Music/BF fan since the early 80's. My favorite album would have to be Heart Still Beating. It is honestly one of the most awesome efforts of Roxy in my opinion. My favorite track on the album is probably either Can't Let Go,Like a Hurricane,or My Only Love but it is hard to say. My all-time favorite Roxy Song is probably More than This. I think it is a classic. I heard a while back from a friend that there are copies of The High Road video avalable on VHS format as well as DVD.Is this true? Oh well anyway I am glad I found my way here and I hope this is an active list and I hope to hear from all of you soon. As far as I know our VHS versions aren't compatible with yours, don't know about any U.S. release. Nice to hear about your favourite tracks. I honestly couldn't single out a favourite track but "Heart Still Beating" is my favourite live album and I share the same favourites, especially "Can't Let Go" - awesome. Look forward to hearing more from you, Richard - -----Original Message----- From: Mike Greenberg To: avalon@smoe.org Date: Friday, February 12, 1999 1:28 PM Subject: [AVALON] Just want to Introduce myself >Hi everyone, >My name is Michael Greenberg and I am new to the list. Disappointment of missing opening number made up by getting to by the Japan-only cd of Mam...(well, spelling was never a strong point) and finding inside the bag it came with a signed japanese-style board by the man himself. They are from New England. Connecticut or Rhode Island I beleive. I saw them perform in front of a half empty crowd opening for Bryan Nov. '94, and then a month later they played the Paradise in Boston as the headline act. It was a 200 seat club, full house, they were great, it was the week before Christmas so they played several holiday tunes - great stuff, so calm you could talk while the band played, lounge music lives.
