I need to contact the people I have trades in progress with for addresses, etc.. Mike Fuller is one and a few others who`s names escape me. Although I have everything backed up on a CD-R, I`ve not yet figured out how to copy e-mail files from the back-up to the new computer without experiencing evil. (any wizards out there?) Hopefully you are using Microsoft email...like inbox or exchange...if you are, you are in business.... all you need to do is go to start, find, files or folders and type in mail* this will pull out the directories where your mail is stored...if you use microsoft, you will be looking for mail.pst netscape has its own folder where it stores its mail. so does IE. All you will need to do is copy the backup mail directories (ie. sent/inbox/address book/ ) into that folder for whichever mail client you use. that should take care of it. lemme know if this helps. HD crashes suck, i feel for ya. - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ End of avalon-digest V4 #6 ************************** ======================================================================== For further info, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: info avalon-digest
