Some put it down to the bad weather conditions. But could it have something to do with low morale. Well, what kind of a performance do you expect from Mick Jagger, when even his own wife admits that she prefers to relax to the crooning of her former boyfriend, Roxy Music front-man Bryan Ferry? In an interview to be broadcast later this month, Models 1 model Jerry Hall is said to list only three tracks by her husband, Mick, among her top ten singles of all time, while she counts four of Ferry's records (including Jealous Guy and The Price of Love). She can't really be wishing she had stayed with him long enough to become Jerry Ferry, can she? /Kicki G - ------------------------ Kicki Gustafsson, Östersunds-Posten 063-16 16 51 http://www.op.se http://www.torget.se/users/k/KickiG (privat hemsida) - -------------------- To unsub, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 21 Dec 1998 17:38:46 -0600 From: Will Subject: Re: [AVALON] "Bryan, You Can Drive My Car" ASchulberg@aol.com wrote: > This reply came to my post in the King Crimson mailing list, Elephant Talk to > the question of the Bryan Ferry/Robert Fripp/Discipline connection: > > I don't know if the story mentioned is true, or is an embellishment on the > official story, which is, Bryan Ferry was driving Robert somewhere, and he > [Robert] had a "point of seeing", where King Crimson "descended to his left > ear and informed him" that the Discipline band was playing the music of King > Crimson. > > The official story by Fripp is told in classic Frippese, meaning, it talks > around what actually happened, so what actually happened may be slightly > different and it might match the story mentioned. In any case, only Bryan and Robert can say > definitively what was heard and said. So what you are saying is that in Frippenese Bryan Ferry could BE King Crimson depending on whether they are in a left hand drive automobile or which one was driving. I haven't been on the list much lately, I've been practicing crashing my computer. I've really developed quite a knack for it, it's really not that hard after you know a few basic things. So last week I got on for a few minutes between crashes and recieved 248 messages. Today I got 163 because it's been another week...alot of reading... and Vapor's back, lots of new developments. Everyone is so creative, anyway I think I may have my problem under control now and I feel it is necessary to warn you all that I may, or may not be BACK...oh yes and I have some video, lot's of it actually. hours and hours of it. Some interview stuff, lots of live performances and a bunch of mtv type videos. The most recent is a version of Put a spell on you live in Italy or Brazil. I'll have to look over the emails about what you have and don't have and see if any of my stuff is needed. I have recognised most of the stuff you've been talking about so most of the stuff I have has been covered but you never know, some odd clip or something. If I have anything out of the ordinary I'd be willing to share it. I'll have to watch it all again.
