I'm sure that there is a live version out there somewhere, but I don't have any of those shows. There is a Hitchcock list and a homepage for it, and maybe they would be of assistance in finding the live version. For years I've been jonesing for the "Avalon"/"More Than This" videos. I got the last 2 minutes of MTT a few years ago from MTV, 3:00am. It's the back of Ferry's head in a theater watching Roxy Music perform the song. Why were these two were omitted from the video collection? I also have (somewhere) Trouser Press magazines. One on Roxy Music 1980, the other on Ferry 1977. The cover has a picture of Bryan with a bottle of champagne, the title read something like "Bryan Ferry, has the fizz ran out?" First of all though we should get into order the list of T.V. appearances because the one on the F.A.Q. is not even near complete. With reference to Paul Stump's book and of other footage that I am aware of, here are my additions to the list: 20th July 1972: Old Grey Whistle Test (performed "Ladytron" and 1 other track) 1972: Beat Club performance 1973: Live T.V. performance in London (as shown on "Total Recall" where the presenter refers to "Ladytron" as "Try Out Girl") 1973: Live performance in Paris where 2000 fans gatecrashed the studio. 1973: Old Grey Whistle Test (performed "Do The Strand" and "In Every Dream Home A Heartache") 1973: 1 hour T.V. special in Zurich 1974: Twiggy's t.v show (performed "What A Wonderful World") 1974: Cilla Black show on ITV (performed "These Foolish Things") 1975: Superstars (performed "Love Is The Drug") 1979: Kenny Everett Show (performed "In The Midnight Hour") 1979: South Bank Show 1979: T.V special benefit for U.N.I.C.E.F. (organised and hosted by ABBA) 1985: Interview with Jools Holland in "The Tube" 1985: Live Aid (performed Sensation, Boys and Girls, Slave To Love, and Jealous Guy) 21st June 1992: Channel 4 Without Walls "This IS Tomorrow" (featuring Ferry and Richard Hamilton) 1993: Later with Jools Holland (performed "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow") 1994: ITV Sound Bites (10 minute documentary on Mamouna) 1994: Danny Baker Show (performed "Jealous Guy") Top of the Pops performances: Virginia Plain (1972), Street Life (1973), All I Want Is You (1974), Dance Away (1979), Oh Yeah (1980), More Than This (1982), Is Your Love Strong Enough (1986) Video's not included in the B.F & R.M. video collection: Dance Away, More Than This, and Avalon. I have that Beat Club performance shown on VH1 a couple of weeks ago waiting for me when I go home at Christmas but I have'nt viewed it yet so I dont know the year. Is it 1975?
