There's also Modern Times (1984) in which a piece called Bryan's Interior can be found. This is how it starts: - ------- "A lot of people were worried about Bryan's interior. Worried and puzzled. More people than one realised had the Life of Bryan preying on their minds. It would start - a comlete non sequitur - from ad men in their thirties; brilliant beautiful teenage girls...stylists of all kinds came out with it. They felt Bryan had let them down. They had no idea exactly what they'd been expecting, but certainly not this. They didn't understand the chintz, the Turkey carpet, the grey taffeta and the Aubusson. It left them inexplicably depressed. They thought it was...dull.
