Let them know that their decision is not being well received. I've listened to comment after comment regarding the lack of new material and how everyone can't wait to hear something new. It really angers me when this record is ready and not being released when so many other projects are. Time to let them know how popular Bryan is and get them to release another of his great albums. From what I read the only reason a reunion is possible is because Ferry, Manzenera and McKay are all w/out contract. Does Virgin have any exclusive rights to Roxy? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Oct 1998 12:19:33 -0400 From: "Theresa Fagan" Subject: Re: [AVALON] Anyone have Jazz version of "Zarathustra"? Wow! Thanks for your answers, Victor and Frank. You can rely on the Avalon group to know it all! Although I feel disillusioned that Deodato may be an "artiste". According to the CD-Now site, the Deodato's Prelude album includes: Musicians: Stanley Clarke Ron Carter Billy Cobham Producer: Creed Taylor Would these Big Guns record an album with an "Artiste"? Oh wait, I forgot we *like* campy stuff. So we should be thrilled to know that the title track is a cover of Stravinksky's "Prelude To The Afternoon Of The Faun". Hi I was a big Japan/David Sylvian fan years back as well. Is he still alive even? I still get mail once in a while about Steve Jansen and Richard Barbieri's musicals ramblings. I wonder if David and Steve still don't talk? And has David done anything besides the Fripp get together a few years back? I lost interest in him when he started getting too much into the instrumentals and the artiste stuff and didn't use his amzing voice enough. I heard once that he was supposed to do an album with his wife Ingrid Chavez if they are even still together I'm still a Ferry fan and always will be and I just hope someone releases this album. Now if I understand this right he has one ready and Virgin won't release it? LizzieJim@aol.com Janeen DITTO. If and when ROXY get's back together, it will be a madhouse here to get tickets. I know I will be camped outside of TOWER or the Vic Theatre ( Lizzie: it's on Sheffield off of Belmont-the BEST place to get tickets-keep it to yourself!!!). I do hope that Bryan gets a contract soon and I'm sure he will. One question, if Eno does not tour with them, does that open the door for Eddie Jobson? My favorite period of Roxy will have to be from For Your Pleasure to Siren. The years after that were okay, not quite up to the daring and inventiveness of the earlier years. Thee big exception of this period of course Avalon. I have loved all of Bryan's post Roxy Output. I have warmed up conisderably to Mamouna as of late. It took me a while but it has grown on me. My favorite of this period would have to be Bete Noire. Oh yes, did anyone see any pictures from Fashion Week in London? Well they ran a photo of Elizabeth Jagger ( Mick amnd Jerry's kid) from the Vivienene Westwood show in the Chicago Sun-Times today. They said Ms. Jagger is 14. In the photo she already has that SIREN look about her. BRYAN, CHICAGO AWAITS YOU....
