What would be a good program to use to transfer it >to a WAV or MID file or whatever? .wav would be more convenient, as .mid files only handle instruments no vocals. on a PC it's quite easy to produce .wav files from any input. speaking of .mid files, I found one Roxy midi file thusfar on the Net. I managed to convert it to a Quicktime file, as the .mid file itself doesn't load into my browser when played 'local' (Netscape+Crescendo) goto: http://kwest.net/multi-media/sound/midi/sequences/General_Midi/Bands-R/Roxy% 20Music/loveisth.mid greetings, frank ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Aug 1998 18:24:18 -0500 From: "Victor Hastings" Subject: Re: PRIVATE: Re: [AVALON] UNRELEASED FERRY TUNE - -----Original Message----- From: LizzieJim@aol.com To: avalon@smoe.org Date: Saturday, August 15, 1998 10:57 PM Subject: PRIVATE: Re: [AVALON] UNRELEASED FERRY TUNE >Would love a taped copy? However, keep in mind that if recorded in CD quality 44,100kHz, it will equate to about 10 MB per minuet. If you are considering posting it so it can be downloaded (Please, not to the Avalon list! Jason would have your head on a stick!), a 30+/- MB WAV. file could take hours to download. You`ll have to record it as mp3 file which would make it small enough to make a download feasible. Most of the software (there are several out there) to do this is available on the web for free also. You can find all info on alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.d. BTW, what song is it?
