From: ASchulberg@aol.com << Anyone else who feels passionately descriptive about a Roxy song -- my CD tray is open! >> Thanks for the kind words. Now, who on this list described the violin solo in "Out of the Blue" as climbing straight up towards heaven in an F-16? Stand and identify yourself. Arnie Well Arnie I DIDN'T, but I wish I did. I do feel that sensation every time I hear that song. I aslo feel as though I'm dancing on the ozone layer blistfully unattahced to earthly worries and soaring higher and higher into the heavens. Yes, this is my FAVORITE Roxy song. Jas ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 24 Jul 1998 22:26:28 -0700 From: Rex Estorffe Subject: Re: [AVALON] what will they think of next? Talk > about a captured audience. > Yes, but really, it's not too surprising, considering the trade in products such as Bowie CD-ROM's, screen savers, etc. It's just another form of media, or another avenue by which an artist can infiltrate and exploite a medium. I just wonder whose idea it was, Bowie's, his record labels, or someone down at Concentric's. The only way I would join is if Bowie himself was on the customer support line. I could see it now, "So, you're on a T1 connection and there's a firewall because you're at work? Well just tell 'em that David Bowie told you it was ok to surf the web." It might just do the trick!
