I'm still here in Chi-town (on the other side of town where Heather lives-"NEWTTOWN" to be precise). I have not posted in a while but have lurked in the shadows sort of like the Bogus Man but less so.... Anyway good to see you are back. Yes some of the names do come out of the woodwork and there have been some "interesting" new faces-even our "favorite"-JVapor. As for the getting a copy of that concert, add my name to that list. I will contact those who have the resourced to do so. On another note, VH-1 had a special on Studio 54 last weekend and amongst the interviews was one with Jerry Hall. My she looks haggard. I don't know if she had time to do makeup or the fact that mothering has caught up with her. Of course she still sounded frivilous and silly, but that is what attracted her to our Bryan (and uh Mick J)right???? later Jas Chicago PS to Heather: Kraftwerk is coming to the Riveria on June 12 -are you going? ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 30 May 1998 22:18:37 +0200 From: "Gitte E. Having just heard it (it comes out Tuesday), I can report that "More Than This" by the Cure is DEFINITELY NOT a Roxy cover, but rather a Cure song, written by Robert Smith. Very well done and all, but I was looking forward to hearing the Cure cover Roxy, and thus a bit disappointed. All they share is the same name and a certain dreamy ambience. It is worth noting however, that the soundtrack includes the reunited original lineup of X covering the Doors "Crystal Ship" with Ray Manzerak producing and playing keyboards, which makes it worth owning right there, for me anyway. bye; Erik Simpson ------------------------------ End of avalon-digest V3 #131 **************************** ======================================================================== Please send any questions or comments about the list to avalon-digest-owner@smoe.org
