SWB Series III Station Wagon, V8 engine, Overdrive, Free Wheeling Hubs, Safari Roof ... had it for 2 years and sold it for stlg 300 more than I paid for it ... I could go on but I've been out of librarian mode too long already ... ... As far as the copyright is concerned, the EU is working towards a standard period of 75 years after the artist's death ... but I think that would only affect that particular recording/performance of Virginia Plain ... the copyright on the song is probably held by a publishing company ... a company's assets may be sold but they don't die (didn't McCartney make up for the loss of Northern Songs by buying up the copyright on another back catalogue, including songs like "Stormy Weather"?) I'm pretty sure BF sanctioned the use of VP for the dosh ... and what chance a re-release of VP b/w TTABEFTBOU??? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Apr 1998 09:30:04 +0100 From: "Garratt, Chris" Subject: RE: [AVALON] Roxy are "Cool" ... official > >Hey, this Yank wants to know, what is a pearly queen? In the newest Rolling Stone there's a joint review of the Stevie Nicks boxed set and a tribute album to Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours". The opening reads: Stevie Nicks is more than a rock icon: She's the high priestess of her own religion, ruling a world of prancing gypsies, gold-dust princesses and white- winged doves, all without going anywhere near a sensible shoe. Like David Bowie or Bryan Ferry, Nicks has spent a career turning her private fantasies into an elaborate pop mythology. Discussion, anyone???
