There used to be 5 to 10 places which stocked rare Ferry and Roxy stuff (and Bowie, Crimson..) around the Tottenham Court Road/Oxford Street junction and west of there, nearer Chinatown, and in the area between Chinatown and Leicester Square. Also one or two nearer Covent Garden. A lot of good second-hand places. They had the old Peel sessions there and Roxy 12" maxis. There was some great stuff that was out of my student price range while I was there but might still be available. Always worth asking at the counter about live tapes, too, assuming these places still exist. It was so easy 6 years ago to get the more unusual Roxy, Eno, and Ferry stuff in almost any record market (Camden Market used to have lots on Sundays) but it's harder to come by now. On the other hand, a lot of the music that was worth hunting down is now available on CD and though vinyl's great, crackly, scratched vinyl is unbearable...
